With a result of 5 - 3 to Harpenden.
The score didn’t reflect how well they played as a team. They battled well together and stayed strong, considering it was their first game together. The team also saw lots of new faces from the 3s – Bryony Smith, Michele Davies, Olivia Kent, Isobel Kent, Freya Green and Lisa Stamford.
The team played well from the first whistle and were encouraged well by each other with positive communication from the back to the front and from the front to the back; a great team talk at half time which everyone was able to input saw them start strong again in the 2nd half. They defended well and managed not to conceive any goals from defensive short corners and there were a few to say the least. They scored 3 goals which were scored by Cerys Edwards and 2 by Liz Cobb one from a penalty flick that was awarded.
So well done to all those involved in Saturdays game and overall a great start for the season.
