The rain doesn't dampen Brox's Spirit

This week's games was against Potter's Bar and our pre-match team talk was possibly the most organised yet. Armed with posh print outs and test questions Millie ran through the game plan before we headed out for a warm up. The weather couldn't have been any more different than the week before so we did a u turn back to the changing room for stretches.

Broxbourne came out strong with good amounts of possession and a few chances early on. We got the first goal from a great run down the wing by Meg B before pulling it back to Jess on the p spot. But after being rewarded a penalty flick Potters bar levelled it up. We went in at half time 2-1 up after a skillful run towards the D by Meg T who then set up Phoenix for a lovely deflection!

After a positive team talk at half time we started winning more and more of the 50/50 challenges and continued to dominate possession. When we didn't have possession the forwards were constantly pressurising to win it back. Jess even got a piggy back trying to win the ball back!

We worked some nice triangle passing during the second half, especially the twins who had a rare game on the same side of the pitch...twin telepathy maybe? The third and final goal was a great piece of individual skill by Lauren.

Some solid tackling and fab saves from Kim (including with her head) meant we kept it at just 1 goal against.

After more than a few swings and misses, we're planning our next TopGolf social!
