Super Sockwack Saves Spunky Broxbourne

After another week of poor availability the mighty 2s travelled to Luton with high hopes after last weeks draw aiming to secure the first win of the season.

The game started and with some slick passing across Luton’s carpet resulted in Broxbourne taking an early lead. But instead of being proactive and searching for another goal we decided to invite Luton’s pressure forcing some marvellous saves from a lanky yet handsome keeper.

However at a short corner a soft flick lands in the keepers pads and he starts comically juggling the ball between his legs resulting in the ball falling to Luton’s striker levelling the score.

Shortly after this incident Luton had another chance flicking towards the goal after a good stick save Luton’s striker volleyed the ball into the net leaving us 2-1 down at half time.

After another motivational speech from the team’s captains Broxbourne started slow in the second half forcing more tight defending and countless saves. Super Alex Sockwack and the captain managed to use their combined charm and wit to break Luton’s number 11 and he lost all confidence which ultimately led to the demise of Luton’s attacking threats.

After Russell Gilbert missed about 356 chances with the amounting Broxbourne pressure in the last 20 minutes we got the equaliser we desperately needed after some questionable goalkeeping from Luton’s keeper Super Sockwack whacked the ball into the goal levelling the score and the game finished at 2-2
