An inform broxbourne 4th team hosted a strong St Albans side with broxbourne looking for their 3rd win in a row. The game started of very evenly with Arnie Vaughan breaking the deadlock around 20 minutes into the game sneaking in at the back post latching on from a pass from Ed house. The second came shortly after with a lovely strike from Nick Rowland at the top of the St Albans D. The pressure continued late on in the second half as the ball found its way to Matt Rudd in a crowded D. He calmly slots it into the bottom left corner putting brox 3 up. However there was still time for another in the first half where some lovely broxbourne passing results in matt Rudd having the ball in plenty of space in the St Albans half as he plays a pinpoint pass through to Sam Groves who cooly lifts it over the St Albans keeper on the reverse, giving broxbourne a comfortable 4-0 lead at half time. The second half continued in the same manor with Broxbourne piling on the pressure with attack after attack. The 5th goal comes soon after the break as Nick Rowland has possession at the top of the D, slipping it right where Ed House has loads of space. He places a low shot through the keepers legs giving broxbourne there first goal in the second half making it 5-0. The second half was short on action showing the control broxbourne had on the game however the last 10 minutes brought more goals as matt cassling had a shot from a short corner which found its way into the goal and the last goal was scored after some lovely broxbourne passing with Ed House finding Nick Rowland who squares it across goal where unmarked Will Eldon completes the scoring for broxbourne with a lovely slide along the floor to put the ball into a empty goal. A great broxbourne performance and a 7-0 win with 7 different scores. A great team performance with the defence also including Giles Weblin and Trevor Walton keeping a well deserved clean sheet.
