Fantastic 5s are back with a 2-1 win in our first away match at West Herts! A strong start with Milly converting the first goal after an excellent sprint along the wing from Jo. A strong press from West Herts kept the badgers somewhat at bay but after some healthy grapes (and some less healthy jelly babies) at half time the badgers were feeling sprightly. Some excellent shots on the right post from Annie would have seen us 3-0 up if we had been playing football. Unfortunately we were not, and West Herts took an equaliser. A window of opportunity arrived in the form of a short corner and super striker Lisa appeared from defence to take the shot. The sound of the back board was met with cheers from the badgers before a rather questionable decision from the umpires ruled it disallowed. But the grapes were still working their magic and their is nothing worse than an angry team of badgers. An excellent through ball saw Annie redeem herself (remembering we were playing hockey) with the winning goal. Player of the match this week goes to Alesia! A special thanks must also go to Tors for her debut as the 5s reserve goalie! Well done badgers!?
